The Main Library is located
in the Civic Center. The Civic Center was designed by famed Architect,
Edward D. Stone. Stone,
an Arkansas architect, also
designed New York's Museum of Modern Art, the Huntington Hartford Museum of Art,
the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., and the U.S.
embassy in New Dehli, India. (Click
here for a biography on Edward D. Stone)

The Library is a three story
building, on the east side of the Civic Center.

It is the headquarters of
the Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Library System

There are two entrances
for the Library, this one, under the blue awning,
and a complex plaza entrance
directly above this entrance.

People are greeted by the
Jack and the Beanstalk Mural in the entryway.
