Main Library

The Main Library is located in the Civic Center.  The Civic Center was designed by famed Architect, Edward D. Stone. Stone, an Arkansas architect, also designed New York's Museum of Modern Art, the Huntington Hartford Museum of Art, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., and the U.S. embassy in New Dehli, India. The Library is a three story building, on the east side of the Civic Center.


Main Library is three levels high.
It is the headquarters of the Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Library System


Bottom entrance through doors under blue awning.
There are two entrances for the Library, this one, under the blue awning,
and a complex plaza entrance directly above this entrance.


Jack and the Beanstalk Entryway.  Children's Library through door on right, adult area up elevator.
People are greeted by the Jack and the Beanstalk Mural in the entryway.


Ann Lightsey Children's Library


Children's Library dressed up in Fall Colors.  The Library is named after Miss Ann Lightsey, Children's Librarian since 1972.

The Ann Lightsey Children's Library is located on the lower floor through the door from the
Jack and the Beanstalk entryway.  Here it is shown "dressed up" for Halloween.
